june.. and not there yet...
just an update on my sponsorship... i am at 400e monthly now, with 250e left to go. and it's june. the date about my visa could come any time now. please, if you have been considering sponsorship and haven't pledged yet, now would be a good time to do so..

Out of curiosity (and maybe I'm asking a question that others have too)...
How does the pledging process work? Is there a website to go to?
actually, no one's asked yet..
if someone wants to pledge, they can email me and let me know, and i will send them my address and banking info. the "pledge" is a simple signed letter that states the intent. that i can hand in to my foreign service officer. it would say something like:
"I, name, hereby confirm that I sponsor Catherine McMillan with ___e/$ from (DATE) to at least (DATE)."
this then is dated and signed, followed by persons address and the date.

Just to get a better idea of how the actual support piece would work...
Would someone have to set up a foreign wire transfer from their bank to your bank to send you the money?
Or is there an organization that someone could make an online payment to in your name?
i have a us bank account and a german one, either could be used. unfortunately online payments aren't possible.
as an update: i have now raised 485e of the 650e needed.
